Government as a Platform? Constitutive Elements of Public Service Platforms
Motivated by the success of digital platforms in the private sector, allowing the coordination of multiple entities to achieve a common goal, these platforms are increasingly taking on an important role in the public sector as well. A coherent understanding of the platform concept is imperative for further research efforts in this area.
The paper, written by Benedict Bender and Univ.-Prof. Dr. Moreen Heine, contributes to a coherent understanding of public service platforms and serves as a guide for future analyses.
For their contribution, the authors have now been awarded the Best Paper Award of the EGOVIS2021.
