The book

Buch Plattformbasierte Geschäftsmodelle

Platforms as a strategic business model improve corporate competitiveness. By using their own platform, companies coordinate external value creation, provide strategic impetus on the market and reduce the risks of innovation at the same time. This book highlights approaches, opportunities and strategic success factors for expanding existing business models to include platform-based approaches. The book offers insights into successful platforms to make this a success. This enables SMEs to realise synergies and benefit from the opportunities of the platform economy. The scientifically sound process model accompanies decision-makers throughout the entire process, from the conception to the sustainable implementation of the platform business model. Decision-makers who want to use platform-based approaches to expand their competitive position in a future-oriented way create a knowledge advantage for their company.
